ABC trek DAY 1

this dashain (dushera) holidays in sept, a group of us 6 friends from Manipal (pokhara) set out on a 7/8 day trek on one of the world's most beautiful treks.

lying in the himalayas, the Annapurna range and our fav. Macchapuchre peak were our targets.

being 1st time amateurs, we were inexperienced yet enthusiastic and full of youth, we set off, for an amazing journey, with pain and suffering and relief and exhilaration all rolled in together.

we bonded closer to each other as we faced tough challenges, some even life threatning.

overall, an experience of a lifetime...

this is how we began our excruciating yet inspiring trek to Annapurna Base Camp , the cradle of the himalayas. a taxi ride from our hostel in pokhara to Nayapul, abt 1-2hrs long. the taxi ride itself was quite scenic. so, me, tushar and sambhav were in one cab and anu, ken and zoheb were in another.
on the way our phone networks disappeared... that was it no more contact !

buggers! slept the whole way like idiots with floppy-head-syndrome! well they were apparently quite tired just packing everything the night b4 and probably slept late. i took some naps in btw too.
we actually made a mistake by missing out a checkpost yr supposed to report to b4 yr trek at simpani, the stupid driver forgot! what could we do, we were too far ahead to turn back. that meant officially we were not on the ABC trek that day! but we were...

now answer this : why did the chicken cross the road?
answer : it couldnt, it got crushed on the way! at 40 km/h too! shit!
