Labour at last!

was so lucky today,
saw my 1st labour and birth!!

we had our 1st OBG posting in 5th sem, and never saw any labour, actually ended up seeing an abortion! very shitty experience...

this OBG posting , we were lucky to visit WRH, and since the teacher was late, we sneaked into the labour room and actually saw a birth take place!

ppl did feel nauseous looking at the disgusting bloody sights, but i was fine!

this cute little baby girl was actually pushed & pulled out of the mother's womb, it was dramatic the way this mid-wife actually climbed on top of the mother and pushed on her uterus!!

we were quite surprised to see this approach, and wondered if it was right. but it did work ... as soon as the kid came out, it began crying!
they cut the cord after clamping, and took the baby to some incubatir like thingy. cleaned and warmed the baby!

it opened its eyes and practically saw me first!! :D how's that for reward!

there's the girl, still covered in blood , her right eye opened 1st. ;) all neat and clean now!

goodbye cutie .. have a nice life.

routine life

i guess i shouldn't be sitting ard when i should be taking the history of the patient in the ward! coz someone always has a cam ard!

haha, this one's nice ...

one day just by chance we met shradha, anamika walking back from the library and we asked them to join us for tea at the dai's shops outside the hospital campus ...
sambhav and nits were with me ...

so we went and it started pouring outside!!!

so we were all stuck! for a long time , but had fun, drank 2 rounds of tea, anamika enterained us with her poetry too!

he did it in the silence of the library, where even zoheb didnt hear a thing!but nitesh magically survived the attack, only with one eye lost!
lol! we were suposed to be watching a movie!! in my room ... and this is the attention zoheb gives... :p

lakeside trip

minutes after our final paper (paediatrics) was over , we all packed our bags and headed for lakeside as planned!

our plan was to have a day of swimming and good food and stay overnight !

we even had nitesh take his laptop , and my movies for the night!

nits and tush got bald too !!! hahah , hilarious !

so we went .. took a cab .. straight to hotel New Winds!
had a delicious punjabi fare... till our bellies were paunch!

later went swimming at barahi hotel .... here r the pics ...

ken cudnt swim ... but he did manage to 'wade' thru the whole pool ... 'swimming vertically' !

we headed back, now to Meera hotel , where nitesh and zoheb (not swimming, dunno why) await us.

eventually that night we partied at club amsterdam when the 5th sems were celebrating a party .

watched the interpreter back at the hotel ...

woke up late nxt morning and had breakfast at lemontree b4 coming back to our hostels!

a short and sweet break!

phew! EXAMS gone for the timebeing

giving 8 medical subject exams in a row is on BIG headache ..
oh the syllabus was BIG as well ... especially so coz we mostly had one night to prepare for the nxt day's paper.

tough tough!

though its gone now ... some hardwork paidoff. .. in others .. it was just too much to overcome.
